Ken Nagel

EVP, Chief Information Officer, Umpqua Bank

Ken Nagel has served as Umpqua Bank’s Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President since 2016, leading the Technology Advancement Group for the Pacific Northwest’s largest bank. 

Nagel brings two decades of banking experience to his role overseeing Umpqua’s 350-person Technology Advancement Group, including: technology enterprise architecture; application development; data management; cybersecurity; and IT (Information Technology) operations. Nagel and his team play a leading role in advancing and innovating the Bank’s business – from technology strategy to DevOps adoption and an agile infrastructure – for associates and customers alike, including digital transformation, mobile and online platforms, payment processes, IT infrastructure, and more. Nagel serves on the Bank’s Executive Leadership Team, Merger Integration Team, and as executive sponsor for the Military Associate Resource Group, contributing to the Bank’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
